Location: Flemington, NJ, 08822 - Remote Hybrid



Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 On Target Earnings

As we continue expanding our market presence, we are seeking a Director of Sales and Business Development to drive revenue growth, lead strategic sales initiatives, and support business expansion.



Position Summary:


The VP of Sales and Business Development will be responsible for:




  • Overseeing the sales team

  • Developing and executing strategic sales plans

  • Driving revenue growth and expanding VINCO’s market footprint



This role works closely with the executive team to align sales goals with VINCO’s long-term vision while fostering a high-performance, results-driven sales culture.



Key Responsibilities:




  1. Strategic Sales Leadership:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with VINCO’s growth objectives.

    • Identify emerging market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

    • Set clear sales performance objectives and KPIs for the team.

    • Lead quarterly and annual sales planning sessions.

    • Build strategic partnerships to expand VINCO’s market reach.




  2. Market Expansion & Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target geographic regions and industry sectors.

    • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and industry stakeholders.

    • Represent VINCO at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

    • Develop targeted sales initiatives to expand the client base and increase revenue.




  3. Revenue Growth & Profitability:

    • Set and manage sales targets to drive sustainable revenue growth.

    • Implement pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness.

    • Oversee contract negotiations to secure high-value, long-term client relationships.

    • Collaborate with finance to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets.




  4. Sales Operations Optimization:

    • Streamline and optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and close rates.

    • Implement CRM systems and sales tracking tools to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

    • Develop standardized reporting processes to evaluate sales effectiveness.

    • Ensure the sales team effectively utilizes data and technology for better results.




  5. Team Leadership & Development:

    • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team.

    • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.

    • Design incentive structures to drive performance and align with company goals.




  6. Client Relationship Management:

    • Strengthen existing client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.

    • Develop client retention strategies to ensure repeat business and secure long-term contracts.

    • Act as an executive-level liaison during client negotiations and key account management.




  7. National & Regional Client Acquisition:

    • Develop and implement strategies to secure national and regional portfolio clients.

    • Build relationships with corporate decision-makers.

    • Customize sales approaches based on client needs and industry dynamics.

    • Utilize market data and analytics to optimize outreach and improve conversion rates.




  8. Risk Management & Compliance:

    • Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and legal requirements.

    • Identify and mitigate potential business development risks.

    • Oversee contract compliance and ensure proper execution.




  9. Reporting & Analytics:

    • Establish a sales analytics framework to track performance and market trends.

    • Provide executive-level reports on revenue forecasts, sales pipelines, and growth initiatives.

    • Leverage market intelligence to adjust sales strategies and improve sales effectiveness.




  10. Market Intelligence & Innovation:

    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.

    • Introduce innovative sales techniques to boost team productivity.

    • Continuously research new market opportunities and emerging client needs.




  11. Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Partner with Marketing to create aligned sales campaigns and lead generation strategies.

    • Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless service delivery.

    • Work with Finance to ensure accurate revenue projections.

    • Facilitate cross-department communication to align company-wide objectives.





Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 7+ years of proven success in sales leadership, preferably in commercial services, construction, or field services industries.

  • Experience in commercial snow and ice management or facilities services is a strong plus.

  • Strong track record in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.

  • Expertise in CRM systems, sales data analysis, and technology-driven sales processes.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams and securing major contracts.
