Location(s)For this position, we are looking to hire someone based in the US.About The RoleAs our Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading a team of new business Account Executives to expand Tropic’s customer base. You will help hire, develop, and coach a team of top sellers and work with the rest of the sales leadership team to build a truly world-class organization. You will report directly to the VP of Global Sales and work collaboratively cross-functionally with the Marketing, Product, Customer Sales, Operations, and Solutions Consulting teams to make sure the customer journey is smooth and we’re evolving the product to meet the needs of our customers and soon to be customers.Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners to help them leverage Tropic for their procurement needs. Our teams partner with some of the most innovative companies to buy software, manage contracts, monitor usage, and turn procurement into a competitive advantage.What You'll DoRecruit, hire, and train the best Account ExecutivesDevelop your team to hustle responsibly and go that extra mile to close every timeProvide a leadership presence on late-stage sales calls to support your teamCollaborate with and advise our Sales Development, Sales Ops, and Enablement teamsProvide regular business updates to internal stakeholdersWhat You’ve Done6+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with demonstrable success2+ years in management or team lead capacityExperience at a high-growth, venture-backed startupExcellent leadership and communication skillsStrong cross-functional collaboration skillsTeam player who is coachable, collaborative, thoughtful, resourceful, and must have a genuine curiosity to solve problems and executeCompensationSpecific to pay transparency laws, the annual salary for this position is $200,000 and will also include commission, incentive pay, incentive stock options, and benefits.
