Stack Sports is looking for an Account Executive to join our CaptainU Events and Partnerships Team and contribute to our explosive growth as the leader in the sports & technology market. Since 2007, CaptainU’s mission has been to bridge sports and technology by connecting millions of athletes with all the colleges, teams, and events they need to succeed and play at the next level. We’ve fundamentally changed the recruiting process for both High School Athletes and College Coaches.
As an Account Executive on the CaptainU team, you will maintain a robust network of business leaders, develop strong relationships with partners, and collaborate with key business executives and stakeholders. Assuming the role of Account Executive, you will be a “difference maker” who can close new business, create a clear vision, define a plan, remove obstacles to performance, and increase velocity.
The Account Executive should be eager to inject a collaborative spirit and implement a disciplined, partner-centric sales approach that produces strong results in this highly strategic market. The role's primary focus will be on growing our Events and Partnerships business. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building, managing, and maintaining relationships with our partners, ensuring their satisfaction and maximizing the value of our partnership.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our partners
- Drive the sales cycle to attain new business: make introductory calls, assess customers
- Act as the primary point of contact for our partners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow and expand our partnerships
- Skillfully deliver web-based presentations using inside sales best practices
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on partnership performance to senior management
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-3 years in high volume inside sales preferably selling SaaS with a track record of success
- Experience selling early-stage products, driving business in new markets and blazing a path to success
- Proven closer with resilience and an ability to overcome objections
- Experience running online web/mobile software demos through a variety of platforms
- Excellent technical skills including Excel, G Suite, Salesforce, and general web proficiency
- Sports background preferred but not mandatory
