Potomac Debate Academy is one of the largest online public speaking and argumentation programs in the United States. Routinely a top competitor at national tournaments, Potomac Debate Academy's mission is to help students of all ages to find their voice. We take pride in providing high quality debate and public speaking services to students in elementary, middle and high school, and are looking for a B2C Sales Representative who can assist in the growth of Potomac Debate Academy.
Primary Responsibilities
The B2C Sales Representative plays a crucial role in growing our student body by satisfying existing and new customer needs. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the B2C Sales Representative will work to:
- Follow and close sales leads curated by the ad/marketing team
- Ensure a positive student experience by establishing a professional rapport with prospective families, helping resolve any challenges or issues they may encounter
- Cultivate and manage customer relationships with new and existing clients
- Maintain data with the current customer profiles on all accounts, keeping accurate records and updating every call, email, and correspondence via CRM
- Listen to potential family concerns/objections and communicate feedback with the leadership team
- Lead weekly virtual workshops, webinars, and informational sessions for prospective clients
- Lead the development of new growth opportunities, such as SMS campaigning, customer service chats, or other new customer outreach strategies
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
This role is a high volume B2C sales role where a candidate can expect to spend their workday making phone calls. An ideal candidate will:
- Be comfortable making hundreds of calls per week and spending substantial time on the phone
- 1-2+ years of successful experience in sales
- A desire to take initiative
- Strong communication, problem solving, customer support, and organizational skills
- An ability to take initiative, make mistakes, and then try again
- A high degree of moral integrity. We prize honesty and hard work above all else
Compensation
Potomac Debate offers a base salary of $45,000 - $60,000, on top of commission for meeting sales goals. OTE for this role based on previous total compensation packages approximates $70,000 to $120,000.
