As they expand our footprint, they have an opportunity for a Vice President of Business Development โ€“ US to spearhead their sales and potentially wholistic operations in the United States.



Role Overview:


As the VP of Business Development โ€“ US, you will be responsible for growing their US presence, driving sales, and defining the strategic direction for growth. Initially a sole contributor, you will build and execute the US go-to-market strategy, develop key customer relationships, and serve as the face of the company in the region. With demonstrated success, you will have the opportunity to grow the US team and expand operations.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and Execute US Strategy: Establish and drive the overall business development and sales strategy for the US market, aligning with company goals.

  • Lead Sales Efforts: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with satellite manufacturers, government agencies, commercial space companies, and defense contractors.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NASA, DoD, commercial space companies, and aerospace primes.

  • Market Expansion: Define and implement strategies to expand market share, including partnerships, strategic alliances, and new business models.

  • Brand Representation: Serve as the primary representative of the company in the US, attending industry conferences, networking events, and government meetings.

  • Operational Growth: Lay the groundwork for potential US-based operations, including hiring and building a team as the business scales.

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements with customers and partners.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the global executive team to align US operations with corporate objectives.



Qualifications & Experience:



  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the space, aerospace, or defense industries.

  • Strong network within the US space sector, including commercial, government, and defense entities.

  • Experience working with NASA, DoD, or major satellite manufacturers is highly preferred.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a start-up environment.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
