We are seeking a motivated Senior Solutions Architect – GenAI to connect clients, sales, and technical teams in designing and implementing custom AI Data Ops solutions for large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI. Your expertise will enable organizations to fine-tune AI for specialized domains, multilingual applications, and Trust & Safety alignment.

Join us in diverse projects, such as enhancing humor detection in LLMs and developing AI Assistants for agriculture. Ideal candidates will have a background in NLP, machine learning, consultative sales, and AI safety, with the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable workflows for corpus creation, annotation, and model evaluation.

This remote role requires adaptability, strong collaboration skills, and a passion for AI solutions, with availability for EST meetings. Reports to the Director of GenAI Solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• MA/MS/PhD in Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience as an AI/ML practitioner or Solutions Architect


• 5–10 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Consultative Sales

• Provide consultative pre-sales support, scoping solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices.


• Translate client challenges into actionable, scalable solutions using iMerit’s software and service delivery organizations.


• Define workflows, guidelines, software requirements, security requirements, cost models, timelines, and success metrics for projects.


• Partner with clients to validate pre-sale and early post-sale outputs (from POC to production).


• Communicate proposals and findings in an accessible, strategic manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Build trust with clients through transparent problem-solving, data-driven recommendations, and clear ROI articulation.

Project Execution

• Partner with Delivery team leadership to ensure successful end-to-end project execution, from design to deployment.


• Collaborate with Product/Engineering teams to scope, prototype, test, and deploy custom software solutions.


• Consult with Global Workforce/Learning & Development teams to identify skill requirements and qualification criteria for Delivery team members, including language and writing proficiency and specialized domain expertise.

Innovation

• Act as a technical advisor for AI data workflows, particularly LLM fine-tuning and generative AI applications across the organization.


• Drive internal knowledge-sharing on industry trends, use cases, and competitive landscape insights.


• Identify opportunities to expand iMerit’s capabilities in AI data services, Trust & Safety, and multilingual AI applications.

Minimum Required Skills & Experience

Technical & AI Expertise

• Demonstrated experience in annotation/labeling services, Data Ops, Label Ops, and ML Ops


• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing software or services solutions using Generative AI and/or traditional NLP, such as supervised fine-tuning (SFT), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), reinforcement learning (RLHF), and red-teaming


• Working knowledge of a programming language for data engineering and analysis (Python preferred)

Client-Facing Communication

• Minimum 5 years working directly with external clients


• Strong ability to communicate complex concepts in English to both technical and non-technical audiences


• Demonstrated experience in program management, consultative sales, or AI solutioning

Project & Process Leadership

• Ability to design, implement, and manage data workflows in a structured manner


• Experience collaborating across technical, product, and business teams


• Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving
