The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Solutions Consultant to join our team of experts. The consultant will play a key role in providing strategic consultancy on the design and development of Supply Chain Systems and IT solutions. As part of the role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to business and IT solutions, from ideation to delivery, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards and align with the client's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage the design and development of Supply Chain Systems and analytical business solutions for our company and/or customers.
- Preparation, coordination, and support of testing processes, ensuring all solutions are functional and efficient.
- Leading and participating in workshops with customers to analyze business IT requirements, ensuring solutions are tailored to their specific needs.
- Solving complex theoretical and practical problems in areas such as inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and supply planning, as well as related IT solutions.
- Defining delivery capabilities and best practices; recommending tools, technologies, and processes that prepare solutions for scaling.
- Verifying and evaluating solutions, ensuring they meet performance and functionality criteria.
- Creating IT prototypes to test new concepts and ensure feasibility.
- Coaching and mentoring less experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) IT consultants, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
- Participating in meetings and training sessions organized by the employer, as well as conducting internal training to promote knowledge sharing and the adoption of new solutions.
- Contributing to business development activities, identifying new opportunities and helping expand our portfolio of solutions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Supply Chain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of supply chain management concepts, including inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and supply planning.
- Consultancy and Communication: Ability to lead workshops and effectively communicate with customers to understand business IT requirements. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- IT Solutions Design & Development: Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering supply chain IT solutions, particularly in analytical or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Prototyping and Solution Evaluation: Experience in creating IT prototypes to validate new ideas and evaluating IT solutions for scalability and effectiveness.
- Technical Tools & Technologies: Proficiency with supply chain management software tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and other IT solutions used in the supply chain domain.
- Knowledge of APS Systems: Knowledge of APS systems is preferred, and familiarity with O9 Solutions is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Experience coaching and mentoring junior consultants, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Strong knowledge in preparing and supporting testing processes, ensuring IT solutions meet business and performance expectations.
- Business Development: Ability to identify opportunities for new business and contribute to expanding the company’s service offerings.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Experience in conducting training and workshops to share knowledge and enhance organizational skills related to IT solutions and supply chain processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management or IT solutions (e.g., APICS CPIM, Six Sigma, PMP).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies for IT development and project management.
