Job Description: Territory Sales Manager - Fuel Additive and Lubricants Industry
Location: Midwest Region - Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois
Summary
A growing chemical additives company is in need of a highly qualified Territory Sales Manager for the Midwest region - MN, IA, WI, IL. The successful candidate must be technically savvy, experienced in solution-based sales, and able to build lasting relationships. This is a home-office based position.
The selected candidate will be offered a lucrative compensation package to include a strong base salary, bonus, and a full benefits package. Company assets will be provided, including work laptop, cell phone, and vehicle. Candidates must currently live in the assigned region. No relocation.
Position Skills
- Experience in technical sales or related fields such as chemicals, industrial or manufacturing equipment or goods.
- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining customer relationships.
- Ability to create and sell value-based solutions.
- Must be able to learn as needed and understand customers’ business and needs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A self-motivated “hunter” mindset.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Must exemplify professionalism in selling and convey a strong sense of urgency towards achieving sales goals.
- 5+ years’ experience in technical sales.
- Experience selling lubricants and fuel additives or other specialty chemicals highly preferred.
- Candidate must currently live in and have familiarity with assigned market geography – Midwest Region - MN, IA, WI, IL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and negotiating skills.
- Basic PC skills and use of spreadsheet construction and analysis, word processing, and database management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A high level of initiative.
- The ability to travel in the region.
