About this role

Job Description

Anthropos builds a technology called AI Simulations that companies can use to test and upskill their employees in real-life scenarios using AI. They use these simulations to onboard, train, and assess employees on unique scenarios they face inside their organizations, including classic customer-facing situations such as sales, customer success, negotiation, and assistance with their products and services.

This technology reduces by 80% the amount of time needed to train employees or assess their skills with precision, and it is able to show exactly how they think and how they would handle situations.

On the recruiting side, AI Simulations can be utilized to avoid bad hires by prescreening candidates on the exact job position, observing how they would handle conversations, problem-solving, and building real projects before companies hire them. Bad hires can cost between $70k and $110k in the US for mid-level positions, and AI Simulations can save millions for medium to large companies.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to help our founding team enter the US market. In this role, you will collaborate with our EMEA sales team and founders to drive our US sales operations and secure our first US customers.

Tasks

As a BDR at Anthropos, you will focus on generating new business opportunities through outbound efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting and Outreach: Dedicate 90% of your time to identifying and reaching out to potential customers through cold calling (150+ calls/week) and email outreach (200+ messages/week) across various channels.

  • Target Account Management: Continuously identify and refine a list of target accounts. While initial support is provided, you are expected to take ownership of this list and adapt it based on market insights.

  • Product Expertise: Conduct regular product demos and become an expert in our offerings. While support will be available, you should be able to present Anthropos and address product-related questions independently.

  • Pipeline Management: Manage the initial stages of the sales cycle, including lead qualification and setting up meetings for the Account Executives.

  • Solution Selling: Focus on understanding customer problems and selling solutions that address these needs. We are committed to helping our customers succeed by effectively mapping and building their skills.

Requirements

  • Previous experience targeting companies in the US is a must.

  • Familiarity with products and solutions in the training and assessment world is a strong preference.

  • Perfect written and spoken English.

  • You must have strong discipline, motivation, and desire to win and make money.

  • Independent and "let's do it" mentality.

  • Sense of urgency: we value this over anything else at Anthropos. You move fast, are responsive, and communicate well inside and outside the organization.

  • Customer-first mentality - you know customers come first and would do anything to show value and commitment to them.

Our team prioritizes soft skills over hard skills, so in this role we will strongly evaluate your propensity to work hard to achieve goals, take risks, and be creative. You will work side by side with founders and our founding sales team.

Benefits

  • Compensation: Base salary with substantial commission potential.

  • Stock options: With 1-year cliff and 4-year vesting.

  • PTO: 4 weeks of paid time off per year.

  • Travel: 1-2 trips per year to Switzerland / Lake Como for team offsite events.

The first step in this process will be to complete an AI Simulation designed for this role. If you pass it with at least 60/100, you will automatically receive an interview with the founder.
